Welcome Nice to meet you!  This is just my simple blog about being a wedding photographer in San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles, the people I meet, and the photographs I take...plus some stories to help you glue them all together.  Please feel free to leave a comment...I love hearing from everyone.  As my fortune cookie said "Great people will come into your life" so I take that to mean you all, too!

Sarah and Jason are in Hawaii by now, enjoying a fresh, new honeymoon! (Boy, am I jealous, or what?!) They got hitched yesterday afternoon in the lovely Peterson Grove in Sanborn Park. The venue was surrounded by large redwood trees and was just the perfect setting for these two. When they showed for their engagement session, both were in berkinstocks...so I kinda figured the wedding setting would be outdoors and natural. =) Speaking of which...I still need to blog their engagement session! How did I miss that?! Look for it soon, but I think this will be the first time I ever blogged the wedding *before* the engagement session photos. =) Oh, and some cool details about the day. They had the coolest limo, a 1930 Chrysler in absolute cherry condition. A sweet ride! Also, I was impressed by the soda of choice...Dr. Pepper. My favorite! I got teared up when I heard the story of Sarah's necklace...it was the most beautiful blue stone. She told me it was her grandmother's stone that she'd left her when she'd died. The stone was from her grandmother's ring that she'd gotten for her 16th birthday. Grandma always wore the ring. So, every time Sarah and her mom see that necklace, it reminds them so vividly of her. (ack, I'm tearing up again) And for some reason this last one just gets me...it's Jason's mom and Sarah's dad watching the limo drive away with their newlywed children. The look on their faces watching that limo drive away was undeniably proud, hopeful, and raw. I'm sure dad won't mind me saying, he cried watching his baby girl leave that day...
