I predicted this wedding was going to go by in a blaze of laughter and awesome, funny stories. So call me Ms. Cleo, cause I nailed it! I can't even repeat the stories the girls shared in the limo, but I had tears in my eyes and my sides hurt from laughing so hard. I wish I could share the quote of the wedding...but it's just not to be said in polite company...Katrina, you know you definitely get the quote of the day (and you know what it was!)
Meghan and Geoff like to have fun with friends, eat good food, and laugh a lot. So, take those as the priorities in your wedding planning...and you end up with a faboo party. There was no DJ, but instead a rockin' 5 piece band playing live music. Open bar with a Dutch beer called "Delirium" (appropriately named as it appeared to have that effect on people). And, if only I had smell-o-blog for the smell coming from the kitchen!! ummmm!
Meghan and Geoff, I know this isn't good-bye...look forward to seeing you again sometime soon. So, on to the photos!

Andrea walked out of the car and I had a little audible gasp of awe. She looked amazing! But, I have to say, her smile was her best accessory of the day. Of course, she is a dentist...so I suppose it usually looks pretty darned good no matter what the ocassion. I did have a pretty good laugh when Neal told me that he messed a couple of the Hebrew words during his vows and it reminded him of his Bar Mitzvah. I had to explain to him though that it didn't remind me of any Bar Mitzvahs I'd been to....at the ones I went to, none of the boys got to go home with a hot looking girl. =)

Mark's countdown finally came to an end. He's patiently been counting down the number of days ever since he proposed. Anytime I spoke with him, he know the exact number of days until his wedding. I thought it was so sweet. Normally, Rancho Bernardo Inn is just beautiful by itself...but Cheryl and Mark made it REALLY shine this day. The colors were popping oranges, yellows, and green. Take a look at the flowers, Cheryl arranged them all herself! Best wishes in your new life together...you deserve every laugh and smile.

Xanthy and Peter were a last minute booking to my 2007 wedding season...and I'm so glad they found me. One of my favorite parts of the day was their tea ceremony before the wedding. At the tea ceremony traditionally, the bride and groom serve tea to their families, and the families give their blessings and a gift in return. It was really cool to see so many excited and happy relatives giving their blessings and spending that extra time with the couple. Usually, wedding days seem to go by so fast that the bride and groom barely see even mom and dad. This tea ceremony was a nice addition to the day. This wedding also wins the award for the season for the most distant travel...there were guests from England, Guatemala, Hong Kong, and Canada! So cool that people came from so far away.
Congrats Xanthy and Peter! I hope your blessings will continue into your new lives together!

Kate+Paul. A-plus. Gold Star. The right amounts of laughter, love, and patience. Throw in a little bit of good old-fashioned dirty sense of humor...it all made for a fantastic wedding! The party was wickedly fun and the setting was beautiful. I'm still on a little bit of a high today. Wish I could spend more time with them...this wedding was just too fast. I think we needed a three day wedding. =)
I should mention though, the trials that they had getting through the day. I came home last night around midnight and just couldn't let Jason sleep. I had to tell him about all the near misses...it was too much to believe.
Probably the worst, Kate's dress shop resold her dress without telling her. When she came in days before the wedding to pick up her dress, they handed her one that was 3 sizes too big! After much protest (can you believe that?!), they altered it. Unfortunately, how ever they altered it...broke the zipper. A fact that only showed up in the 10 minutes before the ceremony as we zipped her into the gown! Good thing a sewing kit was on her list for the day...we had to do emergency stitching. And, how about a flat tire leaving the hair and make-up appointments the morning of the wedding? Or Kate's mom being in urgent care the morning of the wedding because she'd been sick all night before? Paul's mom falling and cutting her hand open at the end of the wedding? What about the violinist forgetting to play for the wedding march? Such random weird things, it just has to be related to post-Friday the 13th bad luck.
Honestly though, it would've taken so much more to even make a dent in this wedding's fun. The wine was great (or so I hear...I had to shoot straight you know), the weather could not have been better, and if you haven't ever heard Kate sing...you are absolutely out-of-luck. She has the *most* amazing voice. I was stunned to hear her singing!! Kate and Paul...you know I love you both! Best wishes in Zihutenaho (or however that's spelled)...and in the words of Napoleon Dynamite..."Luh-key"

Just look at how Kate and her dad were beaming just before walking down the aisle. Oh...love it!

And a twilight last dance before the night ended...
