Welcome Nice to meet you!  This is just my simple blog about being a wedding photographer in San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles, the people I meet, and the photographs I take...plus some stories to help you glue them all together.  Please feel free to leave a comment...I love hearing from everyone.  As my fortune cookie said "Great people will come into your life" so I take that to mean you all, too!

Yesterday, Kristin and Shawn got married at The Oceanview Room in San Diego. The spot is scenic, right along the waves with palm trees all around. In keeping with San Diego during the early Spring time, the weather just could not make up its mind...sunny, foggy, drizzle, warm, and chilly. We had it all. But, I don't think people were focused on the weather, if you know what I mean. My favorite part of the day? The awesome vows that Kristin and Shawn wrote for each other. Very touching! (and the cake had to-die-for delicious frosting...wow!) Kristin wins the prize for the most intricate bustle I've ever seen. Really...amazing. whew. Shawn called this his "cheesy grin"...I happened to love it!

Katie - I always love your ring shots. You always come up with something super. I'd enjoy flipping through a coffee table book of your ring shots.

Just couldn't wait to share this with you all. The song is one of my favorites and when it started playing for Jenn and Nick's first dance, I got chills. Big chills. So, it was a no brainer to choose it for their slideshow. Grab your kleenex, this one makes me cry and sigh. (press the little play button and expect music).

Jennifer and Nick brought *it* this weekend. Their A-game. Their best stuff. Their awesome family and friends gathered in San Francisco for a wedding at Saints Peter and Paul in Little Italy. I've passed by that church many times when in San Fran...and always thought it would be a great place to shoot a wedding. Then, to make the day even more exciting for me (yeah...I'm sure it was all about me, LOL) we got to ride a trolley car out to Chrissy Field for some shots with the Golden Gate Bridge as a backdrop and then to the Embarcadero for the Bay Bridge. Afterwards, we all went to the reception at Casa de la Vista on Treasure Island. Whew...it was a whirlwind tour, which unbelievably went off exactly on schedule! I bow down to Jennifer's planning prowess!!! Without further delay...let's share some pics while it's all still fresh. Heck, the way this party went down, people might just now be waking up from last night. ;)

This week brought me a couple of small, intimate weddings. Today it was Amber and Jason's "elopement" :) They have been together for nine years, and rather than do a big fancy wedding, they decided that they would elope without a bunch of fanfare. Amber and Jason's family convinced them to meet in the middle and have an intimate wedding. The location was beautiful...oaks, sunshine, and green grass. Amber and Jason...wishing you the best of times! Enjoy your honeymoon!!

It is late, and I must get to sleep...but I just had to share a couple quick photos from this afternoon's wedding...I'll update with a more thorough post tomorrow...but this photo just *had* to be shared. In the words of Pepe LePeu...Le Sigh....Kristen and Grant got married on a bluff in Santa Barbara today. Just the two of them (well, and the officiant). It was simple, beautiful, and romantic. Their ceremony location...was breathtaking. And I simply adore this shot that happened right after "and you may now kiss your bride" Happy Happy Joy Joy...
