Welcome Nice to meet you!  This is just my simple blog about being a wedding photographer in San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles, the people I meet, and the photographs I take...plus some stories to help you glue them all together.  Please feel free to leave a comment...I love hearing from everyone.  As my fortune cookie said "Great people will come into your life" so I take that to mean you all, too!

"You just won't meet two nicer people." "They were meant for each other." I heard (and overheard) these phrases yesterday and it was absolutely fitting. People were smiling just simply looking at Anitra and Tony yesterday. They didn't even have to be doing anything special...just simply being their sweet selves. The day wasn't just complete sappy-eee-ness though...I got my fair share of laughter in, too. Special thanks go to Bridesmaid Beth for providing me several memories (one having to do with a marking pen) that I'll still laugh about for the next month. The wedding was at The Inn at Morro Bay on their back deck overlooking the water. I started the day with Anitra and Tony's rings, what a treat! Check out how freaking cool Tony's ring is...he's got all sorts of scroll engraving on it.

Anitra's dad catches a little break and takes in the day before getting dressed up. We were running a little late getting ready, and Anitra's dad came by to do a time check. We were a room full of half-dressed women so he was stuck on the outside pointing to his watch...LOL And, the next photo is absolutely one of my favorite ceremony pics of all time. I just LOVE it! And, if you were ever wondering just how wonderful of parents Anitra and Tony are...check out their ADORABLE (move over Suri Cruise) daughter Cyra. She had me wrapped around her finger. For the first time I've ever seen, the bride's Grandma caught the bouquet! And, this was no easy catch. It was a competitive field, she worked for that catch.

The Fairchild family extended came out to Cambria for an extended week vacation to celebrate their Mom and Dad's 40th wedding anniversary! I had a sweet time with the grandkids in particular...and in fact, Joseph even said he'd hang with me at my house. How sweet is that?! I just love connecting with kids and seeing their smiles. In this particular family...apparently huge blue eyes come with those sweet smiles too. Check out Elizabeth's massive blue peepers!

Jake and Noah are b-o-y-s.  We don't get much boyness in our house, so this was really fun!  We talked superheros, chase, tag, and rocks.  As opposed to my normal daily chatter of jewelry, make-up, and dresses.  And, I think I really fit in with them...I am currently sharing their same summer cold.  LOL...we all had runny noses!  Jake and Noah...thanks for bringing your mom out today.  Be easy on her until dad gets home, ok?

WOW Katie! I absolutely love, love, love them all, especially the close up of Noah. This shoot for the most part was for him,...for his one year pics and you captured my little man in just one shot. Incredible! I CANNOT wait to see the rest. Jake's toothless grin is priceless... :)

I need to figure out a way to give out merit badges.  Lisa and her kids were dressed beautifully, and here I made them hike out to one of my favorite spots...a secret little ravine in Paso Robles.  They deserve a hip-hip-hooray! But, like I promised...it would be worth the little trek. This place makes for some scrumptious backgrounds and lighting! I got pangs of jealousy seeing how well her kids got along with each other. I NEVER would've even come with 10 feet of my brother at Allie's age, unless it was to punch him. I certainly wouldn't have stood next to him for a photo without significant threat or coercion for my parents. (and, for the record, i LOVE my brother now...and i regret not standing next to him for more photos)

Lisa, thanks for letting me meet your wonderful family! Such a treat!! Hope you enjoy the pictures. =)
