Welcome Nice to meet you!  This is just my simple blog about being a wedding photographer in San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles, the people I meet, and the photographs I take...plus some stories to help you glue them all together.  Please feel free to leave a comment...I love hearing from everyone.  As my fortune cookie said "Great people will come into your life" so I take that to mean you all, too!

Kristen + John = Giggles.  Their M.O. is simple and sweet, they love to laugh.  We giggled our way through the Santa Barbara Courthouse yesterday...a spectacular place to be.  I learned that John went old school awhile back and actually *asked* Kristen to be his girlfriend.  He said he was super nervous to ask her that...so, of course, I wondered how he made it through the bigger question "Will you be my wife?"  He said he memorized what he was going to say just so he could get through it.  HOW CUTE!  I can't wait meet all their families later this year.  I'm betting they are all laughter filled, too.

Kristy's family owns Gary Bang Harley Davidson and we had one of our first meetings at the store since Kristy and Jim both work there. I was already excited just to see them, but then I got a super cool surprise when I stepped inside the store. All over the walls are BIG photos of the Bangs and their friends through time (with an awful lot of motorcycles in the shots, too). There were photos of Kristy as a tiny tot. Her parents in a sidecar motorcycle at their own wedding. Family trips. Clearly, the emphasis here is on family and fun...and I loved it! So, here's a few of the soon to be married Kristy and Jim. I can't wait to tilt-you-two at your wedding (inside joke, sorry blog readers). LOL

and I really like this one. doesn't it look like Jim just said something really kinda funny, but on the verge of getting himself into trouble?

I just knew when I saw the first look Mike gave me today...it was straight up Blue Steel. Gotta love that Blue Steel. And, he and Emily *know* SNL, Will Ferrell, and good comedy. By the way, if you haven't seen Zoolander, you need to. So, I expected the session to be a good time, right from the start. I had a blast. Apparently, they've recently gone on a vacation where every photo with Mike had a comedy face. Looking at my shots now...I know I have a few winners myself. BUT, my favorite so far is not so much the face, but the pose in this first one...LOVE IT!

Let's head up to Stanford University to meet Heather and Kirk today. They are a sweet couple who have dated since high school...and through college...and through new jobs. Whew. Heather's just graduated as a nurse and Kirk graduated from Stanford nearly a year ago. So...I had to put on my smarts just to hang out with them. Words like oncology, socio-economics, and phlebotomy were tossed around. Ok, they said those words and I said things like woah, cool, and sweet way too often. Some people probably have a hard time believing that I have my degree in engineering sometimes...I just get so caught up in a moment that my vocabulary gets lost. Thanks Heather and Kirk for wandering in all the odd places with me...hope there were no big bug bites.

Megan and Keith are high school sweethearts who are getting married!! I love these stories. I can vividly remember that I looked around my high school one day thinking "I wonder if I will marry a high school sweetheart?" And, as I scanned the lunch crowd, I prayed that it wouldn't be the case. Of course, I had pretty bad taste in guys back in high school...so it's a good thing I walked away to start college. Keith is a surfer and in a cool band named TahVenDero for which he plays bass. Megan is a smarty pants who just happens to be beautiful too. Which, you think would be more than enough...but noooooo...they both happen to be incredibly nice, too. The photos don't lie, these two get along famously and laugh a lot. "Awesomeness" Go look it up...their photo is there.
