Welcome Nice to meet you!  This is just my simple blog about being a wedding photographer in San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles, the people I meet, and the photographs I take...plus some stories to help you glue them all together.  Please feel free to leave a comment...I love hearing from everyone.  As my fortune cookie said "Great people will come into your life" so I take that to mean you all, too!

Tina and Mike nabbed one of the holiday weekends for their wedding next year. So, July 4th is going to be extra special for everyone involved.  Why do I already know that I'm going to love this wedding? Because I met Tina and Mike over a year ago at her sister's wedding so I already know the cool friends and family that I'm going to see again! Thanks for coming up to see Paso, I hope I convinced you all what a wonderful place this is to live *hint hint* *wink wink*.

Stacy and Sean are old friends. As in they've known each other FOREVER. Grew up together. They dated when they were in high school, went their separate ways for college but stayed in contact. Fast forward to the grown-up versions of their previous selves...and they fell in love. Tight. Cool. Fun. I love stories like those. Stacy was a little nervous for photos, but I think they turned out fantastic! I'm looking forward to meeting the families next year! I'm hoping there will be a heap of photos from those high school days for everyone to enjoy. LOL!

Michelle and Dave live in The Bay Area (aka the place where they don't say "the" in front of their freeway names unlike L.A.). A place where Dave plays bass in a band, and Michelle is his devoted groupie. I love it. It reminds me of college days when I dated a guitar player. The night we first met, I watched him play on stage, swearing that he was looking right at me the whole time. Here I was, swaying to the music, smiling intently at him...certain that when the set break would come...he'd come say hi to me. Instead, a blond chick came pushing around me up to the stage and planted a big ol' kiss on his face. WTF?! He was looking just past me at his girlfriend?! Crushed. It took two years more before he finally got smart and dated me. And that, my friends, was the extent of my musician dating. Anyways...Michelle (being from NJ) had a great joke about New York and New Jersey, which I have been trying to remember since we had our session. I keep getting close to the punchline, but not quite right. And close doesn't cut it when it comes to punchlines. Hopefully, Michelle can type up the joke in the comments here to share. It was a good joke...especially if you know NY or NJ. On to the pictures now...

Michelle:

Why are people in New York always so depressed? Because the light at the end of the tunnel is Jersey.
(No disrespect...)

YES!!! Thank you!! My cousin lives in NYC and I've been trying to remember the joke to tell her. Karen, read "my" joke. Laugh heartily.

Brooke and Kevin have been so incredibly kind to me, and I'm really looking forward to their wedding at Zenaida Cellars next summer. I knew they wanted fall colors for our session today, and the time of year is perfect for that. Unfortunately, it just rained yesterday and I was a little concerned whether we'd have a muddy mess in the vineyards. It worked out perfectly though...we did a little mix of downtown Paso Robles and vineyards.

Robyn and Derek will be having one of the most original locations for a wedding soon. They are getting married at the fabulous Fremont Theater in October. If you haven't been there, it is a fantastic old style theater. One screen, big soft seats. Tickets booth on the front. It is pretty cool...and perfectly fitting for a couple who went there for their first date. I can't wait for your wedding guys! It's gonna be fun!!
