Welcome Nice to meet you!  This is just my simple blog about being a wedding photographer in San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles, the people I meet, and the photographs I take...plus some stories to help you glue them all together.  Please feel free to leave a comment...I love hearing from everyone.  As my fortune cookie said "Great people will come into your life" so I take that to mean you all, too!

Anna "lost" her front tooth this evening (and found a new cute lisp). Although in reality she yanked it out herself with a string of dental floss tied around it. I think she has balls that clank. I could have never in a million years pulled out my own tooth. My stomach just turns thinking about it. I wish my Aunt Marge were here, she loves to yank a tooth.

Of course, Anna can't wait to show off her tooth and new grin to her friends at school. She came up with the idea to leave a note for the tooth fairy telling her to hold off on her visit for a couple days.

The worst part...her other front tooth is teetering by a tiny thread. I predict it will be gone before Thanksgiving. She's gonna hear *that* song a lot. You know...All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth, my 2 front teeth, my two front teeth.

Wow, she is BRAVE! My brother pulled out my two front bottom teeth for me... within two days. I, the ever-trusting little sis, actually believed him when he said he "just wanted to feel the second one wiggle" (the day after he pulled the first one) and then he proceeded to yank it out!

We don't see this often in our house. Been waiting for a long time. Holly finally fell asleep mid-activity. She was bouncing around the house with a microphone, dressed up as Hannah Montana, and wearing her favorite sparkle pink shoes...when she just had to sleep. Damn i love this photo. Forgive me Holly.

Jason is gone for 3 days. He comes home on Wednesday late night. Where has he gone? Boston to watch the first game of the Celtics season, and more importantly, watch the 2008 Championship banner get hung in the arena. He's going with his dad, so this will be a special trip. We haven't seen as much of his dad, since he moved to Philadelphia about 2 years ago. I'm super happy he's making the trip and don't begrudge him a minute of it. (but that doesn't mean i won't have a teeny tiny whine here) OMG! How am I supposed to take care of kids like a single parent? This is hard work. I'm only on morning 1 of 3 and already I can tell I don't like this one bit. So much back-and-forth in the car...and such precise times! Anna's school starts at 8:13 am? What kind of start time is that? Why didn't they go all the way and just say 8:13 and 26 seconds? Thank God for Marcelle down the street who has generously stepped up and covered a lot of childcare to keep my sessions on track. So, if it takes me just a little longer to respond to emails and phone calls this week, please understand that life will be returning to normal on Wednesday night. At 11:13 pm...if I use Paso Robles School District time frames.

Is that all? Looks like you'll have some quality breathing time between about 2:45 and 2:47 on Tuesday....=)
Great meeting you this weekend, and the girls and Jason too!

For a minute there, I thought it said "check child's food and water" and not "chief's". LOL

Wow, a husband that can create such a detailed schedule/list like that is a "keeper." I'm very impressed. Great game last night!

I have no fancy photos to introduce this. No nifty descriptions. Just pure shock. Anna. kissed. a boy. My 6 year old little girl kissed some (studly jock of a first grade) boy named Christopher. She tells me it was on his hand. She also says that she hugged him. His reaction? "He said 'ewwww' and ran away." When Jason said "Don't worry about that. He's just a stupid boy," Anna rushed to his defense with a quick and emphatic "No. He's NOT stupid. Christopher is nice." Thanks Christopher for running away. My mind just can't absorb dating or flirting yet. I immediately did reconnaissance the next day. I picked her up from school and heard Christopher say in a sweet voice "Bye Anna". To which Anna tried to run him down and hug him again. IN FRONT OF ME! Is she trying to kill me? So, being the sly mother that I am...I offered a blueberry ICEE (her favorite treat) if she would let me take a photo of her and Christopher together on Monday when I take her to school in the morning. She agreed. The ICEE has been slurped, come Monday...we should have a photo of the first boy my baby kissed. Sigh.

Oh my, too cute! LOL! :)

Too cute! Mine "smooches" his "girlfriend" at recess -but only when the teacher isn't looking. Apparently, kissing at school is against the rules. I told him, if he's to break any rule, that would be the one. ;)

Time for new photos of the girls on my office walls. Today I bribed the girls with $5 each to spend however they want IF they would let me take some photos. Anna chose the location ("where the deer hang out"), which is just some ratty old storm drain area near my house off the busy road nearby. Holly chose her outfit, including anything that was pink and sparkles. I haven't heard yet what they will spend their money on, but they did say they wanted to go to Target to shop. (Dodged a bullet there, I thought for sure Anna would say "Pet Store" and I would have to backtrack on my "spend it however you want" offer.)

Katie -- WHAT A PICTURE!!! That picture of Stacy and Eddie is awesome. And the rings came out beautiful. I can hardly wait for the rest of the pictures. I also wanted to say that your daughters are beautiful. Thank you so much.
