Oliver is in there. Cooking away. Just waiting to get out and meet his cool older brother Nolan. All is good.

This summer's wedding season flew by! I had a packed season and it was complicated by my helping on a 12-week civil trial (non-photography related). I certainly learned a lot about the legal system and have a whole lot of respect for lawyers. I'm a bit behind on blogging, so expect the next few weeks to be chock full of weddings and sessions!
Upcoming events for me personally? We are going to try to take the kids to the snow for the first time ever this winter. Probably at Yosemite's Badger Pass. Check back regularly or subscribe to catch up on the latest photos and stories.

I blog you tonight some of the wonderful family session that is Jenn, Neil, Gabriella, and Cameron. This is one of the families that we hang out with on Monday night football, so you know we like them a lot. A great set of peeps…and peepers! Check out Gabi’s eyes, aren’t they amazing?!

Merritt is 17 months old. Merritt likes to move. Merritt likes me to put rocks on my head and pretend to sneeze. Merritt, I will do whatever it takes to make you smile because it was worth every single rock on my head. You “rocked” my world cutie.

Marissa lives in quite possibly one of the coolest places I’ve seen in the County. Her family has lived on their ranch for 4 generations and it reflects all sorts of family interests. There’s a party barn, a working barn, a trout pond, pastures, hills, fallen logs, old fences, horses, dinosaur bones (I swear they had to be), cows (or is that steer?), old farm equipment, and so much fun stuff to play with. When we were setting up the session’s location, her mom told me her house would probably work fine for the photos…little did I know that it was such an understatement. I wish I could shoot all my photos there. Marissa, hope your senior year is a blast…and i’ll think texan thoughts for you.

Ayesha can pass any academic test you give her. She has a brain that will be the envy of all the universities she applies to this year. Unlike most people with similar descriptions, she can also pass a personality test. She is funny, kind, and likes a social life. She lives across the street from me and I’ve really enjoyed getting to know her for the last 5 years. I can safely say that my only disappointment with her has been her lack of interest in babysitting. LOL! I am routing for Stanford as her school of choice. Far enough that she gets to experience a real life away from home, but close enough that she will still come back and visit us all fairly regularly.

Alex and I met last year during senior portrait season. I was taking photos for her friend’s session and she luckily kept my contact info for this year. Alex was a blast to hang out with. Even when I put her near spiders and bugs, she still smiled. Thanks again and enjoy your senior year Alex!
