Welcome Nice to meet you!  This is just my simple blog about being a wedding photographer in San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles, the people I meet, and the photographs I take...plus some stories to help you glue them all together.  Please feel free to leave a comment...I love hearing from everyone.  As my fortune cookie said "Great people will come into your life" so I take that to mean you all, too!

Holly learned how to ride a bike on Thursday night.  My neighbors were on my case to take some photos of the event, but it was so dark and I was lazy.  The best part was that she learned to bike in high heels and a pink skirt...so very Holly.

Now it is all she and Anna want to do.  This morning, I woke up to Holly standing my bedside with her helmet already on asking to go outside and bike.  It was 7:10 am.  OH BOY!  I did the good mom thing and went outside with both of them before it really heated up this afternoon.

Here's some quick snaps of Holly on her (slightly undersized) pink bike.  And Anna on her new blue cruiser (for $10! yeah garage sale!).

John and Irma decided long ago that they were going to get married in the meadow at their home, adjacent to Atascadero Creek.  To prepare the site, they built a switchback path down to the meadow, put up a large party tent, and brought electricity down to the site...plus lots of other work, too.

Irma was doing well holding her emotions on her wedding day.  A couple hours before the ceremony, she was stealing peeks out her bedroom window which overlooked the meadow below.  When she saw how John was working that morning to make everything perfect for them...she couldn't hold the tears in any longer.  Which then got all the other women in the room all weepy too.  Good thing for waterproof mascara and a great make-up artist (in this case Melanie...my friend from Bladerunner).

John's three sons served as groomsmen for the wedding.  As a special gift to the boys, each boy got a copy of their father's wedding ring.  What a nice way to make them feel a part of the big day and new family.  They did great in the tuxedos, but the instant I said "ok, done with photos"...they flew into the house to change into more comfortable clothes for the reception.  I'm sure all groomsmen wish they could do this at weddings. Hahaha
