So, I never did finish sharing some photos from Stacy and Eddie's wedding. My life took ahold and got so stupidly busy that I am just now getting some massive blog posting ready. You all who stuck around waiting for some updates should be pretty happy...there's a lot to share. But FIRST, let's have a peek at Stacy and Eddie's awesome wedding at Lost Canyons Golf Course in Simi Valley. Such a sweet end-of-summer wedding (yes, I consider October still summer).
LOVE the look in Stacy's mom's face as she watches her minutes before the wedding started.
Stacy and Eddie got married in a circle of friends and family.
Possibly one of my most favorite photos of all time...love the intimacy here. So warm.
We were all a little choked up as Eddie read his vows called "give and take"
and to show all my photog friends...I do occasionally use flash for formal photos. LOL..how could I not with that beautiful sunset staring me in the face?

Jason is gone for 3 days. He comes home on Wednesday late night. Where has he gone? Boston to watch the first game of the Celtics season, and more importantly, watch the 2008 Championship banner get hung in the arena. He's going with his dad, so this will be a special trip. We haven't seen as much of his dad, since he moved to Philadelphia about 2 years ago. I'm super happy he's making the trip and don't begrudge him a minute of it.
(but that doesn't mean i won't have a teeny tiny whine here) OMG! How am I supposed to take care of kids like a single parent? This is hard work. I'm only on morning 1 of 3 and already I can tell I don't like this one bit. So much back-and-forth in the car...and such precise times! Anna's school starts at 8:13 am? What kind of start time is that? Why didn't they go all the way and just say 8:13 and 26 seconds? Thank God for Marcelle down the street who has generously stepped up and covered a lot of childcare to keep my sessions on track.
So, if it takes me just a little longer to respond to emails and phone calls this week, please understand that life will be returning to normal on Wednesday night. At 11:13 pm...if I use Paso Robles School District time frames.
Michelle:
Is that all? Looks like you'll have some quality breathing time between about 2:45 and 2:47 on Tuesday....=)
Great meeting you this weekend, and the girls and Jason too!
meghan:
For a minute there, I thought it said "check child's food and water" and not "chief's". LOL

Lynne:
Wow, a husband that can create such a detailed schedule/list like that is a "keeper." I'm very impressed. Great game last night!

I have no fancy photos to introduce this. No nifty descriptions. Just pure shock.
Anna. kissed. a boy.
My 6 year old little girl kissed some (studly jock of a first grade) boy named Christopher. She tells me it was on his hand. She also says that she hugged him. His reaction? "He said 'ewwww' and ran away." When Jason said "Don't worry about that. He's just a stupid boy," Anna rushed to his defense with a quick and emphatic "No. He's NOT stupid. Christopher is nice."
Thanks Christopher for running away. My mind just can't absorb dating or flirting yet.
I immediately did reconnaissance the next day. I picked her up from school and heard Christopher say in a sweet voice "Bye Anna". To which Anna tried to run him down and hug him again. IN FRONT OF ME! Is she trying to kill me?
So, being the sly mother that I am...I offered a blueberry ICEE (her favorite treat) if she would let me take a photo of her and Christopher together on Monday when I take her to school in the morning. She agreed. The ICEE has been slurped, come Monday...we should have a photo of the first boy my baby kissed. Sigh.

Regan and Aiden (for you older folks...that would be a girl's and a boy's names, respectively) have some beautiful eyes!! Older brother got the blue, and lil' sis got the brown. Simply adorable! It's family portrait season...so if you are related to Melissa, Jeff, Regan, or Aiden...please don't ruin your Christmas card surprise. Close your eyes now. For the rest of you, check out the beautiful family below.
"must hold laughter in. must hold laughter in. no smiles. ughhhhh, can't hold out much longer..."

I am downloading the images from Stacy and Eddie's wedding right now...card 1 of 5. So, I haven't even looked at all of them yet, and I just HAD to share this one. Stacy and Eddie met through dancing, so you just knew their first dance would be hot salsa. I'll be back later with a larger set of images, but until then the Marc Anthony song is running through my head.
Stacy had the smallest ring I have ever seen. I picked it out of the box and thought I'd made a mistake. I thought I'd gotten a toe ring or something. Seriously, I couldn't even slip her finger onto my pinky finger beyond the first knuckle. It was TINY! I finally asked...she wears a size 3 ring. So, this next ring shot will likely never be duplicated. The wife's ring, with a raised diamond setting, fits entirely within her husband's ring.

That ring photo is awesome! Oh and the purple sunset sky... wow. Oh, and when it's 86° in north county on October 28th, it is definitely still summer! :)
(10.31.08)I got the same goosebumps and teary eyes looking at these pictures as I did at the wedding! The pictures captured those very same perfect moments I witnessed in person. Bravo to the photographer and congratulations again to Stacy & Eddie!
