WELCOME TO KATIE DISIMONE PHOTOGRAPHY

This summer's wedding season flew by! I had a packed season and it was complicated by my helping on a 12-week civil trial (non-photography related). I certainly learned a lot about the legal system and have a whole lot of respect for lawyers. I'm a bit behind on blogging, so expect the next few weeks to be chock full of weddings and sessions!

Upcoming events for me personally? We are going to try to take the kids to the snow for the first time ever this winter. Probably at Yosemite's Badger Pass. Check back regularly or subscribe to catch up on the latest photos and stories.

Amy and Kevin got married at the Dana Powers Barn a little over a week ago (one of my favorite venues for weddings).  Wide spaces, old barn, blue skies everywhere.  The atmosphere was relaxed and fun.  Which fit this wedding perfectly. This wedding also marked the first time ever that I have seen panic during the ceremony. During the shuffle of the preparations for the ceremony, the rings accidentally got left behind in the dressing room. Nobody realized it until the ceremony was in full swing. So, that officially marks the first time I’ve seen a best man run from the ceremony. LOL! He did good though. He found the rings quickly and the wedding went on.

Congrats Amy and Kevin…and thanks for being my first wedding on the new blog!
