The week before Trisha and Julie’s wedding, we had 80 degree weather and sunny in January. It was crazy beautiful. Of course, the night before the wedding I was sitting in my house listening to the rain pour down and wondering what we were going to do. Trisha and Julie had to have their rehearsal inside. It was daunting. The day didn’t exactly “clear up”, large looming clouds were hanging in the sky. BUT, there was a silver lining in the clouds…literally. The color of the silvery, dark clouds combined with the soft light right before twilight made for some of the most amazing portraits I have ever taken. Trisha and Julie looked so incredible, I was literally having chills and shakes while taking these shots. By the way, the setting was the lovely Cypress Ridge Golf Course Pavillion. The colors, the decor, and the smiles were awesome.

This summer's wedding season flew by! I had a packed season and it was complicated by my helping on a 12-week civil trial (non-photography related). I certainly learned a lot about the legal system and have a whole lot of respect for lawyers. I'm a bit behind on blogging, so expect the next few weeks to be chock full of weddings and sessions!
Upcoming events for me personally? We are going to try to take the kids to the snow for the first time ever this winter. Probably at Yosemite's Badger Pass. Check back regularly or subscribe to catch up on the latest photos and stories.
