Kate+Paul. A-plus. Gold Star. The right amounts of laughter, love, and patience. Throw in a little bit of good old-fashioned dirty sense of humor...it all made for a fantastic wedding! The party was wickedly fun and the setting was beautiful. I'm still on a little bit of a high today. Wish I could spend more time with them...this wedding was just too fast. I think we needed a three day wedding. =)
I should mention though, the trials that they had getting through the day. I came home last night around midnight and just couldn't let Jason sleep. I had to tell him about all the near misses...it was too much to believe.
Probably the worst, Kate's dress shop resold her dress without telling her. When she came in days before the wedding to pick up her dress, they handed her one that was 3 sizes too big! After much protest (can you believe that?!), they altered it. Unfortunately, how ever they altered it...broke the zipper. A fact that only showed up in the 10 minutes before the ceremony as we zipped her into the gown! Good thing a sewing kit was on her list for the day...we had to do emergency stitching. And, how about a flat tire leaving the hair and make-up appointments the morning of the wedding? Or Kate's mom being in urgent care the morning of the wedding because she'd been sick all night before? Paul's mom falling and cutting her hand open at the end of the wedding? What about the violinist forgetting to play for the wedding march? Such random weird things, it just has to be related to post-Friday the 13th bad luck.
Honestly though, it would've taken so much more to even make a dent in this wedding's fun. The wine was great (or so I hear...I had to shoot straight you know), the weather could not have been better, and if you haven't ever heard Kate sing...you are absolutely out-of-luck. She has the *most* amazing voice. I was stunned to hear her singing!! Kate and Paul...you know I love you both! Best wishes in Zihutenaho (or however that's spelled)...and in the words of Napoleon Dynamite..."Luh-key"

Just look at how Kate and her dad were beaming just before walking down the aisle. Oh...love it!

And a twilight last dance before the night ended...
