Welcome Nice to meet you!  This is just my simple blog about being a wedding photographer in San Luis Obispo and Paso Robles, the people I meet, and the photographs I take...plus some stories to help you glue them all together.  Please feel free to leave a comment...I love hearing from everyone.  As my fortune cookie said "Great people will come into your life" so I take that to mean you all, too!

I have finally downloaded the copious amounts of photos from our year of Disneyland travels and such. Thought I would share them here so that my mom can see them too. Rather than clog up the blog oodles of point-and-shoot snapshots, I'm gonna use my snazzy new toy...a blog show to condense the space a little bit.

You can hover over the thumbnails on the right hand side and it will automatically scroll around to get to the new images for you to click on. If you're like me though, you might get confused by the scrolling action being so fast and furious. Think about it this way, there are 81 images in this little scroll bar's height. If you want to see the 40th image, go about half way down the side of the scroll bar with your mouse pointer and the thumbnails will slow down and stop on the 40th image (+/-).  The key is to move your mouse very slowly.  very very slowly if you want to see each thumbnail.

Or take the easy way out and click the right arrow key on your keyboard and it will advance one-by-one.

Amy and Kevin got married at the Dana Powers Barn a little over a week ago (one of my favorite venues for weddings).  Wide spaces, old barn, blue skies everywhere.  The atmosphere was relaxed and fun.  Which fit this wedding perfectly. This wedding also marked the first time ever that I have seen panic during the ceremony. During the shuffle of the preparations for the ceremony, the rings accidentally got left behind in the dressing room. Nobody realized it until the ceremony was in full swing. So, that officially marks the first time I've seen a best man run from the ceremony. LOL! He did good though. He found the rings quickly and the wedding went on.

Congrats Amy and Kevin...and thanks for being my first wedding on the new blog!

Bringing you some fresh slideshow action from Alexis and Brad's Wedding. If you're wondering about the photos in the slideshow where Alexis and Brad are each holding a shoe and glass of champagne...it was the D.J.'s game where they had to answer questions about each other. Stuff like "who's better with money?" or "who is more easy going?" and the guests got to see if they agreed on the answer. A kind of how-well-does-the-new-couple-know-each-other game. I have to admit it was really entertaining. We all had a great laugh over it. One of the few times I have enjoyed silly D.J. games. Or maybe I just enjoyed it because Alexis and Brad were smiling so easily that it was infectious? Either way, it was great!

Today I got to drop Anna off at school and pick her up. That's a big day for me. Happily, I got to see all the first and second graders sing a loving Mother's Day song to all the mom's on the playground. Also, I was "surprised" with this cool book from Anna that they had made in class. (She'd let it leak that she was making a special gift for me earlier in the week...she just couldn't hold it in. Just like me...hate keeping secrets!) Days like this are why we don't go insane when raising kids. Why we keep feeding them and hugging them.
